Never Stop Learning :: Paul Moak

November 10, 2020 Dewey Boyd

Have you ever found yourself at a creative roadblock?

Do you ever think that you've learned it all?

In this video Paul explains that he's always learning something.

My grandfather, when he was in his 80’s, bought his first Internet equipped computer and was hell-bent on learning how to use it. Which meant a lot of times various family members saying, “Well you got to click here and close out that.” His motto in life was never stop learning, the moment you stop learning is when your body starts to go. For me, I think it's been a pursuit of learning and of creative experimentation. Any time I feel like I've, not mastered, but gotten to the point where I know what I'm doing, it's time to push on. So when you juxtapose that with having a life in music, which means paying your bills, feeding a family, and all of that. It's not just this free world spirit of, “I can't be content here, so I got to go here.” It's trying to stay engaged creatively while also building a business.
